RCB vs LSG / Lucknow beat Bengaluru by 1 wicket in the most exciting match of the season

RCB vs LSG: In a very exciting match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lucknow Supergiants defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket. LSG wicketkeeper Nicklaus Pooran gave the team victory by hitting the fastest fifty of the season in 15 balls. Before him, Marcus Stoinis played an explosive inning of 65 runs in 30 balls.

Before Lucknow, Bangalore batters also did explosive batting. After Virat Kohli's 61, Faf du Plessis scored 79 and Glenn Maxwell scored a quick 59. All three took their team's score to 212 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Lucknow achieved the target in 19 overs at the loss of 9 wickets.

Turning point of the match

After losing the batting toss, RCB came out to bat first, only 3 batters of RCB took the team's score beyond 200 runs in 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 61, Faf du Plessis scored 79 and Glenn Maxwell scored 59 runs.

Lucknow got off to a bad start as LSG's powerplay chased down the target of 213 runs. The team lost 3 wickets in the powerplay itself.

Stoinis' innings After losing 3 wickets in the powerplay, Marcus Stoinis from LSG scored a 30-ball 65 to bring the team back into the game.

Rahul-Stoinis wicket Stoinis and Rahul brought LSG back into the match. But by the 12th over, both the batters were out. Stoinis was dismissed by Karn Sharma and KL Rahul by Mohammad Siraj.

Pooran's innings Nicholas Pooran, who came to bat in the 12th over, scored fifty in 15 balls. He smashed a 19-ball 62, again bringing LSG into the game.

Badoni's hit-wicket left LSG needing 7 off 8 balls. Then Ayush Badoni played the scoop shot. The ball went across the boundary, but Badoni's bat hit the stumps. In this way he became hit wicket and the team needed 7 runs in 7 balls.

Second: On the fourth ball of the fourth over, Wayne Parnell got Deepak Hooda caught by wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik.

Third: On the last ball of the fourth over, Parnell got Krunal Pandya caught by Karthik.

Fourth: Karn Sharma got Stoinis caught by Shahbaz Ahmed.

Fifth: Mohammad Siraj got captain KL Rahul caught by Virat Kohli on the second ball of the 12th over.

Sixth: Siraj got Pooran caught by Shahbaz Ahmed on the last ball of the 17th over.

Puran-Badoni's half-century partnership

Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni shared an 84-run partnership on 35 balls. Both completed the half-century partnership in 20 balls. Pooran completed his career's 5th half-century off 15 balls. 

Stoinis's 5th Fifty

Stoinis completed his 5th career fifty. He played an inning of 65 runs on 30 balls. Stoinis scored at a strike rate of 216.67. He did a partnership of 76 runs on 40 balls with KL Rahul.

Lucknow got initial shock in Powerplay

Chasing the target of 213, the Lucknow team was given initial shocks by the fast bowlers of Bengaluru. First Mohammad Siraj bowled Kyle Meyers in the very first over. Then Wayne Parnell made Hooda and Krunal Pandya walk. The team had lost three wickets for 23 runs. The team's batsmen could only add 37 runs for 3 wickets in the powerplay.

Explosive partnership of Maxwell-du Plessis

Glenn Maxwell did aggressive batting after Virat Kohli was dismissed. He got the support of Faf du Plessis, together they took the team's score to 200 runs in the 19th over. Together, both made a century partnership in 42 balls. Maxwell was dismissed in the 20th over. Both added 115 runs in just 50 balls.

Maxwell's Fifty in 24 balls

After the wicket of Virat, Glenn Maxwell batted fast. He hit big shots off Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi. In the 19th over, he completed his fifty in 24 balls by hitting consecutive sixes in the over. Maxwell was bowled by Mark Wood after scoring 59 runs in 29 balls.

Kohli-du Plessis added 96 runs

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis got off to a blistering start in the powerplay. Together they shared a partnership of 96 runs on 69 balls. Kohli became the victim of Amit Mishra after scoring 61 runs and this partnership was broken.

Virat's Fifty in 35 balls

Virat has completed his fifty in 35 balls. This is his second fifty in the third match of this season. Earlier, he had also scored a half-century against Mumbai. Kohli scored 42 runs in the powerplay itself against Lucknow. Virat was caught out by Amit Mishra after scoring 61 runs in 44 balls.

Fast start in Powerplay

Batting first after losing the toss, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave a steady start to Bangalore. During this, Kohli did explosive batting and hit big shots, while du Plessis took a single and gave strike to Kohli. In 6 overs, the team scored 56 runs without loss.
