Train Accident / Major train accident in Bihar - North East Express derails, four killed and more than 100 injured

Train Accident: A major train accident has occurred in Buxar, Bihar. Train number 12506 going from the capital Delhi to Kamakhya derailed near Raghunathpur station in Buxar. A railway official said that all the coaches of the train derailed. So far, 4 people are reported to have died in this accident. More than 100 passengers are said to be injured so far. The condition of many of these passengers is said to be critical. After the accident, NDRF, SDRF, railway rescue team and local police conducted a large-scale rescue operation on the spot.

Expressing grief over this accident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that after the accident, NDRF, SDRF, district administration, railway officials and local residents worked together as a team. He said that after the accident, the passengers were evacuated by a special train and the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment. Relief and rescue operations have now been completed and repair work is now underway on the track. Soon the track will be repaired and traffic will start.

The Railways has made changes in the routes of some trains after this accident. However, these changes will be temporary. According to the information, the route of 18 trains has been changed.
