Mumbai: Shehnaaz Gill gained massive fandom with her stint in Bigg Boss 13, which concluded in January 2020. Her chemistry with the show's winner Sidharth Shukla was loved and the two even had a hashtag #SidNaaz trending on social media. They brought back the chemistry when Sidharth and Shehnaaz featured in the music video of the song Shona Shona by Tony Kakkar. And she has also been a part of a few more music videos. And while Shehnaaz says that she has bigger plans for 2021, she stresses that she doesn't want to rush things as she believes in doing quality work over quantity.

"I am quite patient and selective when it comes to working. I have a few projects, including a film, the details of which cannot be divulged yet. I have always chosen quality over quantity. Chaahe kam kaam karu, par achha karu. My dream is to play a quintessential heroine. I can act any part, but I want to try difficult characters. That apart, I plan to focus on my career as a singer. I want to lend my voice to singles and also be a playback singer. Main Shehnaaz Gill ke naam ko bada karna chahti hoon bada soch kar,” Shehnaaz Gill told BT in an interview.

There's not an ounce of doubt that Shehnaaz has worked tremendously hard during lockdown to achieve a certain body type. She has lost oodles of weight and can now been seen experimenting with her looks and trying out different outfits which she was skeptical to wear when she was a bit chubby. From slipping into a pencil dress to pulling off off-shoulder tops, Shehnaaz has making everyone fall head over heels in love with her.

Speaking about what motivated her to shed her weight, Shehnaaz said, "I just want to make the most of the opportunity that God has blessed me with. Meri thinking positive hoti gayi aur mujhe achhe log mile journey mein. Along with honing my talent, I always try to improve myself and rectify my mistakes — that’s very important for moving ahead in life. I decided to lose weight when I started receiving appreciation from people, I wanted to show them a different me. Sab mujhe moti keh rahe the, so I wanted to surprise them.”

Shehnaaz further said that she is also trying to get rid of her Punjabi accent and learning to speak Hindi and English. "I try to talk in English with people, chaahe woh hass bhi de mujh par. Slowly, I have started understanding the meaning of various words. Every time I see a new word, I look up the internet for its meaning and correct pronunciation and also play word games,” she said.

Shehnaaz turns a year older on January 27. She had a close-knit midnight party to celebrate her birthday with rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla and their families. In one of the videos, Sidharth can be seen throwing her into the swimming pool after her birthday countdown. Sidharth's mother and sister are also seen in the video. Shehnaaz posted the swimming pool video with the caption, "Love you all".

Sidharth and Shehnaaz's relationship was one of the most talked-about topics of Bigg Boss 13 and fans gave their bond a name — #SidNaaz. The hashtag occasionally keeps on trending on social media even today. While Shehnaaz has openly confessed her love for the actor, Sidharth has always maintained that they are just friends.
