Before the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, the Congress party has suffered a major setback. Aditi Singh, MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar has joined BJP. Aditi had been showing a rebellious attitude against the party and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi for a long time and now there is a possibility of loss to the Congress in Rae Bareli due to her joining the BJP. Apart from Aditi, BSP MLA Vandana Singh has also joined BJP.

open rebellion against congress

In the presence of BJP's state president Swatantra Dev Singh, two MLAs, including Aditi, have joined the party. Prior to this, Aditi has openly praised BJP and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on many occasions while showing rebellious attitude. Apart from this, she has also targeted Congress party including Sonia Gandhi to Priyanka Gandhi.

Recently, on Priyanka Gandhi's giving tickets to 40 percent women, he had said that in the states where Congress is in government, why did not announce it earlier. Now making tempting promises to divide votes in UP. Aditi had said that Congress's support base in UP is less than many smaller parties.

Crack in Congress fort!

Rae Bareli seat has been the traditional seat of Congress and Congress President Sonia Gandhi is currently MP from here. Akhilesh Singh, father of Aditi Singh and a five-time MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar, has had a good influence in the area. In such a situation, due to Aditi Singh joining BJP, there can be a big problem for the Congress here. Amethi, once a Congress stronghold, has already become a BJP fortress, from where BJP leader Smriti Irani defeated Congress' Rahul Gandhi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, Rae Bareli seat of UP can be called the last fort of Congress.

Who is Aditi Singh?

Aditi Singh won the 2017 UP Legislative Assembly election on a Congress ticket and was elected MLA from Rae Bareli Sadan seat. But gradually her displeasure with the Congress party increased and she started expressing her displeasure openly with Sonia Gandhi, MP from Rae Bareli.
