Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have become the most successful opening pair against Australia in ODI cricket, overtaking the tally of 1,152 runs achieved by West Indies pair of Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. Rohit and Dhawan achieved the feat during the 2019 World Cup match against Australia on Sunday, breaking the previous record in seven fewer innings (22 innings).
