IND vs IRE / Team India announced for Ireland tour, Bumrah captain

IND vs IRE: The Indian team has been announced for the tour of Ireland starting on 18 August. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is returning from injury after almost a year, has been made the captain of the team, while all senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya have been rested. This series is important for Team India because Jasprit Bumrah is making a comeback with it. The Indian team has to play the Asia Cup next month and then the World Cup in October-November. In such a situation, if Bumrah returns with form, then the team will be strong.

Team India will play three T20 matches against Ireland. The team will head straight to Ireland from the Caribbean tour.

Seniors like Rohit, Kohli, Pandya rested

Indian selectors have rested almost all the seniors like captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya for the tour of Ireland, while IPL stars like Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma have been given a chance in the team. All of them had performed brilliantly in IPL.

Bumrah is returning to the team after 10 months

Jasprit Bumrah is returning to Team India after almost a year. He was undergoing rehab process at NCA after a back injury. Bumrah also underwent his back surgery in New Zealand. Bumrah played the last match on 25 September 2022 against Australia in Hyderabad.

Bumrah ruled out of Asia Cup, T20 World Cup and WTC final due to injury

Bumrah is rehabbing at NCA in Bengaluru. He is away from cricket since September 2022. Due to back injury, Bumrah was not a part of the team in last year's T20 Asia Cup and T20 World Cup held in Australia.
