New Year 2024: Less than a week is left for the new year. Due to the possibility of crowd gathering in major cities in many states of the country on New Year's Eve, strict security arrangements are being made. In this sequence, some restrictions have been imposed in Karnataka also. According to the information received, the authorities in Bengaluru have taken strict security measures keeping in mind the safety of local people and tourists. The local administration in Bengaluru has announced some restrictions. Those driving under the influence of alcohol will be dealt with strictly on 31st December.

All flyovers will remain closed from 11 pm to 6 am

The Bengaluru Police Department has identified 48 check posts at various locations for the New Year's Eve celebrations. Where traffic police will be deployed. Apart from this, to streamline traffic and enhance safety, key areas of the city, such as MG Road, Residency Road and Church Street will remain vehicle-free from 8.00 pm on December 31. Also, all the flyovers of the city will remain closed from 11 pm to 6 am.

The party has to end by 1 o'clock in the night

Authorities have also launched a 'Women's Safety Island' within the city, which will provide a safe space for women during New Year's Eve celebrations. To manage crowd control, all parties in the city, including hotels, clubs and pubs, will have to end by 1 am.

These details will be asked from customers in the hotel

A total of 5200 constables, 1800 head constables, 600 assistant sub-inspectors, 600 sub-inspectors, 160 inspectors, 45 assistant commissioners of police, 15 deputy commissioners of police, 1 joint commissioner of police and 2 additional police commissioners will be deployed for the security of Bengaluru. Hotels, clubs and pubs in the city have been requested to maintain records of customers' details including name, age and phone number.
