AYODHYA / Three killed, two in critical condition due to car falling in canal, accident happened while returning from procession

A car fell into the canal while returning from the procession at around 10:30 pm on Thursday near Rangoli of Pura Kalandar police station area of ​​Ayodhya. Three of the five people in the car died in the accident, while two are being treated in a critical condition at the district hospital.

It was told that in the car, Vijay Pandey son (28) Amarnath Pandey resident Bairampur, Thana Ibrahimpur, District Ambedkar Nagar, Atul Pandey (25) son Ram Shankar Pandey, Ravi Sharma (23) son Vishnu Sharma, Shravan Pandey (31) son Rajendra Prasad Pandey, Arvind Kumar (42) son Anirudh Kumar were on board. All these people had come to the entire wrestler procession of this police station area. Returning from the procession and going to their home, all the people were drowned in the water after the car fell into the big canal on the Darshan Nagar-Gangauli road.

With the help of public cooperation, everyone was evacuated from the canal from the spot, in which Vijay Kumar Pandey and Arvind Kumar were saved. Whereas, Atul Pandey, Ravi Sharma and Shravan Pandey died. All were sent to the district hospital, in which Vijay Pandey and Arvind Kumar Pandey are being treated in the district hospital. Officers and SDRF team were present on the spot. Efforts are on to get the car out of the canal. In-charge Inspector Pura Qalandar Rajesh Singh said that information has been given to the relatives of the injured and the deceased. Senior officers are present on the spot.
