New Delhi: If you are thinking of buying gold then you have a great chance from today. Because the government will start the first sale of Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme for the financial year 2021-22 from May 17 i.e. today, which will last for the next 5 days. This bond is issued by the RBI on behalf of the Government of India.

Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme opens from today

The central government will issue gold bonds in 6 installments from May 2021 to September 2021 under the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22. Its first trunk is open for subscription from today. The issue price has been kept at Rs 4777 per gram for gold bonds opening from today, meaning for 10 grams you will have to spend Rs 47,770. A discount of Rs 50 per gram will also be available for applying and paying online.

When the subscription

The maturity period of Sovereign Gold Bond is 8 years. Purchases can be made for the first series from May 17 to 21. Bonds for this will be issued on 25 May. Subsequently, the subscription for the second series will open from May 24 to May 28, for which the gold bonds will be issued on June 1 for this period. Then the third series will come from May 31 to June 4, for which the Gold Bonds will be issued on June 8. The Touthi Series subscription will open from July 12 to July 16, for which the bond issuance date is July 20. The fifth series will open from 9 August to 13 August, for which the bonds will be issued on 17 August. The sixth series will remain open from 30 August to 3 September, for which there will be gold bond issues on 7 September.
