In the last two weeks, Bigg Boss contestants Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz have turned from friends to foes, dividing not only the Bigg Boss house but also fans into two groups. Amidst the rivalry, a few fans of Sidharth appear to have crossed the line and allegedly been calling Asim, who is originally from Kashmir, a terrorist and have posted hateful tweets about his religion.

Asim’s brother Umar took to Twitter to defend his brother and warned them that he had reported them to the cyber cell. He wrote, “For people and fan clubs commenting on @imrealasim religion and state and saying he is a terrorist. Last warning to you guys. I've reported this to cyber police. Delete your tweets before you spend your life behind bars. #weloveasimriaz #spreadlovenothate.”

He also appealed to fans of Sidharth Shukla to stop attacking Asim. He wrote, “#sidfans #sidharthfanclub stop the hatefull tweets. This will go nowhere. Calm your horses and think before what you are writing for someone.Nobody heard the word guns in the show. Dont assume anything. #weloveasimriaz #WeSupportAsimRiaz.”

Former Bigg Boss contestant Karanvir Bohra also expressed support of Asim and his brother and appealed to fans not to attack the contestants’ personal lives. “If this is true,Pls It's a request to all the fans and viewers of #bb13 Pls don't get family and religion into it.Watch the show as a show, Pls don't get personal. I cant even imagine what #AsimRaiz family must be going thru. #StayStrongAsimRiaz family,” he tweeted.
