IPL 2023: The countdown for IPL 2023 has started. The 31st of March is eagerly awaited with each passing day. All the teams have started their preparations and foreign players have also started participating in it. But before the start of IPL, players continue to be out due to injury. Meanwhile, another star player has been ruled out of the IPL.

Two-time world champion out

Star wicket-keeper batsman Johnny Bairstow, who played in the IPL for Punjab Kings, has been ruled out of the entire season this time. Bairstow is yet to recover from his foot injury and has been ruled out of the IPL for the upcoming Ashes series. Bairstow's exclusion from the entire IPL is a big blow for the Punjab team. Still waiting for their maiden IPL title, it was a good opportunity for the Punjab team to lift their first trophy this year.

Bairstow troubled by injury

Let us tell you that in September last year, Bairstow had slipped on the golf course and hurt his leg and his ankle was 'dislocated'. Due to this injury, he could not play in the T20 World Cup in Australia and then on the tour of Pakistan. Bairstow then had to undergo foot surgery.

The Ashes series is likely to be held in June-July this year and if this 33-year-old star player is fully fit, he will be the first choice for selection in the team. This is also because he provides strength to the England batting. Last year, Bairstow was in excellent form, scoring four Test centuries but then he suffered this injury. Since then he is away from international cricket.
