Days upon getting arrested after which released on bail over his ‘slap’ statement on Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Union minister Narayan Rane stated that he didn’t do any “wrong” and that the ruling Shiv Sena arrested him only because they “revel in power” withinside the state.


“Maharashtra is #1 in Covid-19. During Covid-19, they didn’t take any motion. [Bollywood actor] Sushant Singh (Rajput) was murdered. Disha Salian was raped and killed, [and] but the perpetrators roam freely,” Rane was quoted as saying via way of means of media.


The union minister similarly stated that Shiv Sainiks, who had gone to his house, was welcomed via way of means of the police. “What has Shiv Sena given to [the] Konkan place in [the] remaining years? The idea I could be scared if they took motion towards me. But our journey has been successful,” he stated.


Rane additionally addressed Sena chief Sanjay Raut’s “West Bengal is the tiger of the country” statement, announcing that the former “speaks without any sense.” “Vinayak and Sanjay Raut will lead to the fall of Shiv Sena…The distinction between Konkan and Kashmir is identical to making Mamata Banerjee the Prime Minister,” he added.


Rane flew to Ratnagiri on Friday morning to resume his Jan Ashirwad Yatra that was halted owing to his arrest and subsequent bail late on Tuesday. The yatra, which the new Union council of ministers are undertaking across the nation, will end in the neighbouring Sindhudurg district on Sunday.
