Nagpur / Unnatural sex with six children on the pretext of plucking mangoes, case registered

Nagpur: A case of alleged unnatural sex with six children in a month has come to light in Nagpur. Police have started investigation by registering a case in this matter. A 28-year-old man, Mayur Modak, used to take children with him to a secluded place on the pretext of plucking mangoes in Maharajbagh area and then sexually abused them there, an official of Sitabardi police station said.

Modak has been booked under IPC section 377 (unnatural sex) and other provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, a police officer said.


Used to target children living in slums

The police officer said that he used to befriend children from the slums of Naik Nagar, whose parents used to go out for work. Police said that the accused Modak is absconding since the matter came to light. The police have started searching for him.

The incident came to light on Monday when a 9-year-old boy narrated his ordeal to his father. Not only this, he also gave the names of other victims. At present, the police has started investigation in this matter.


Similar case also came to light in Bangalore

The Karnataka High Court has refused to quash the case registered against a husband accused of forcing his wife to have unnatural sex. Besides this, the court also allowed the request for an inquiry against her husband for allegedly posting obscene pictures of the woman on social media.

The couple met while pursuing their PhD at IIT Mumbai. They got married in 2015. The woman alleges that from the very beginning her husband was torturing her for having unnatural sex.
