New Delhi: In a huge embarrassment for the BJP, the Trinamool Congress took a dig at the Yogi Adityanath government over an advertisement that highlighted development works in Uttar Pradesh.

The TMC attacked the Yogi government for allegedly using an image of a flyover in Kolkata in the ad.

Reacting to this, Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee said that transforming UP for Yogi Adityanath means stealing images from infrastructure seen in Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership and using them as his own.

‘Change your soul or at least your ad agency’

“Looks like the ‘double engine model’ has miserably failed in BJP’s strongest state and now stands exposed for all,” he said in his tweet.

TMC leader Mahua Moitra said, “Thuggy Yogi in his UP ads with Kolkata’s MAA flyover, our JW Marriott & our iconic yellow taxis! Change your soul or at least your ad agency Gudduji! P.S. Looking forward to FIRs against me in Noida now.”

Samajwadi Party also attacked the Chief Minister saying his lie has been exposed again.

“No work has been done to show public money in advertisements to those who shed water like water. This BJP government is number 1 when it comes to lying,” the SP said.

BJP misleading people in the name of development: Akhilesh Yadav

Earlier today, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav launched a blistering attack on the ruling BJP accusing it of misleading the people in the name of development.

According to TOI, the Samajwadi Party president said “blatant lies are the mainstay of BJP”.

Saying that the development is not a serious issue for the BJP, Akhilesh said the saffron party looks at everything as trade and business.

“BJP has nothing to showcase as achievements. They want to destroy democracy and independence and is busy disrupting social fabric and harmony of the country,” Akhilesh added.
