Cricket Desk: Australian cricketer David Warner didn't fetch any award at the recently announced ICC Awards but on Wednesday, he did fetch an honourary award by fans who branded him 'ICC Male TikToker of the Decade'. The Australian opening batsman who became a huge star on the platform during the COVID-19 lockdown took the honour sportingly and even shared the same on his Instagram.

Warner has enthralled fans with several TikTok videos of his, sometimes dancing on Bollywood numbers sometimes even Tollywood. As the southpaw came across the fan-made version of ICC Awards, Warner posted the same on his official Instagram account and also tagged Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the post, saying he thought the two would be joint-winners.

“Thanks everyone for your support @yuzi_chahal23 I thought we would be joint winners,” Warner captioned the picture.

Chahal too has been a regular on TikTok before the platform was banned by the Indian government. Chahal's dance videos and acts have drawn plenty of attention from fans over the last couple of years. Though the 'ICC Male TikToker of the Decade' award was all fan-made, it's fair to say that Chahal would also have been a nominee.

David Warner also received a huge boost on the cricketing front as he was included in the Australia squad for the third Test against India, scheduled to begin on January 07 in Sydney.

Warner missed the first two Tests as well as the T20I series because of a hamstring injury. Having missed plenty of cricketing action, Warner would look to make up in the remaining two matches of the series.

The opening batsman's inclusion also comes at a time when Australia lost the second Test by 8 wickets. Australia have had troubles in the opening department, especially because of the poor form Joe Burns has been in since the start of the series.
