Cricket Desk: West Indies legend Chris Gayle became the first batsman in the history of cricket to score over 14,000 runs in T20 games while smashing 67 off 38 balls against Australia in the third T20 international on Monday (July 12). Gayle is almost 4,000 runs ahead of next man in the list - country-mate Kieron Pollard. In these collection of pictures, here are the top five run-getters in T20 games - both domestic and international. 

Chris Gayle

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is in numero uno position, becoming the first batsman in history to score over 14,000 runs in T20 games. Gayle now has 14,038 runs at a strike-rate of 146.1 with 22 hundreds in T20 cricket.

Kieron Pollard

West Indies and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard is in second place behind his teammate Chris Gayle. Pollard has scored 10,836 runs in his T20 career at an incredible strike-rate of 152.7 - which is even better than Chris Gayle - with one hundred.

Shoaib Malik

Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik is in No. 3 position, although he is yet to score a T20 hundred in his career. Malik, the husband of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, has a strike-rate of 126.7 in T20 matches while scoring 10,741 runs.

David Warner

Australian opener David Warner is in fourth position with 10,017 runs and eight hundreds in the T20 format. Warner was Sunrisers Hyderabad captain till earlier this year.

Virat Kohli

Team India captain Virat Kohli is fifth on the list, just 78 runs short of 10,000 career T20 runs. Kohli has 9,922 runs with a strike-rate of 134 and five T20 hundreds.
