GT vs PBKS: In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets. Opener Shubman Gill made a fifty, but he was dismissed in the last over. The team needed 4 runs in 2 balls, here Rahul Tewatia gave the team victory by hitting a four. Mohit Sharma took 2 wickets in the first innings. Batting first after losing the toss at the IS Bindra Cricket Stadium in Mohali, Punjab scored 153 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Gujarat achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 19.5 overs.

Shubman Gill made 16th IPL Fifty

Gujarat opener Shubman Gill batted till the end. He completed the 16th Fifty of his IPL career in 41 balls. Gill made an important partnership of 48 with opener Wriddhiman Saha and 41 with Sai Sudarshan. He got out in the last over after scoring 67 runs.

Chasing the target of 154 runs, Gujarat got off to a brisk start through Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill. Both shared a 48-run partnership. Saha got out after scoring 30 runs. The team scored 56 runs in 6 overs at the loss of one wicket.

First: Kagiso Rabada bowled a short pitch on the fourth ball of the fifth over. Wriddhiman Saha is out caught at square leg. He scored 30 runs.

Second: The second ball of the 12th over was bowled short pitch by Arshdeep Singh. Sai Sudarshan is out caught at long leg. He scored 19 runs.

Third: Harpreet Brar bowled the third ball of the 15th over fuller length. Hardik Pandya caught out at long on. He scored 8 runs off 11 balls.

Not a single fifty came from Punjab

Matthew Short scored the highest 36 runs from Punjab. Jitesh Sharma 25, Shah Rukh Khan 23, Sam Karan 22, Bhanuka Rajapaksa 20, Shikhar Dhawan 8 and Rishi Dhawan were dismissed after scoring one run. Prabhsimran Singh could not even open his account. Harpreet Brar remained unbeaten after scoring 8 runs.

Mohit Sharma 2 wickets

The Gujarat bowlers bowled tight and did not allow the Punjab batsmen to score freely. Mohit Sharma took maximum 2 wickets. Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph and Joshua Little got 1-1 wickets. 2 batters run out.

Sixth: The first ball of the 19th over, Mohit Sharma bowled short pitch. Sam Karan was caught out at deep mid-wicket. He scored 22 runs.

Seventh: Shah Rukh Khan was run out while trying to take the second run on the fourth ball of the 20th over. He scored 22 runs in 9 balls.

Eighth: Rishi Dhawan was run out in taking a single off the last ball of the 20th over.

Gujarat dropped Yash Dayal

Captain Hardik Pandya has again become a part of the team after emerging from injury. Mohit Sharma has got the place in place of Yash Dayal. In the last match against Yash, KKR was hit for 5 consecutive sixes in the last over, due to which the team lost the match. Vijay Shankar will be part of the team in the second innings as an impact player.

Rabada, Rajapaksa return to Punjab

Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan has included Kagiso Rabada in place of Nathan Ellis and Bhanuka Rajapaksa in place of Sikandar Raza in the playing-11. Mohit Rathi or Rahul Chahar will be part of the team as an impact player in the second innings. Liam Livingstone is not part of the team.
