Cricket Desk: When Yuvraj Singh is in full form, the crowds get their money’s worth. The left hander’s shots are resplendent, the bat flow is so smooth, and he has the capability to clear any boundary in the world with ease.

On 13th March 2021, Yuvraj sent the fans into a dizzy by smashing 4 consecutive sixes off Zander De Bruyn in the 18th over of the innings in the match against South Africa Legends. The carnage started off the second ball of the 18th over. De Bruyn bowled a half-tracker, Yuvraj sighted it early and smashed the cherry over deep mid-wicket for six. The second six was hit right out of the middle of the bat, and it was vintage Yuvraj. The ball was pitched up, and Yuvraj just hit De Bruyn through the line over Long On.

The fourth delivery was again pitched short from the bowler, and the ball disappeared over deep midwicket’s head. Oh, you had to love this from the left-handed batting legend. It was not over yet. De Bruyn tried to outwit Yuvraj by bowling a slower delivery, but Yuvraj sighted it early. The legendary batsman got onto the front foot and dispatched the white cherry over Long On. Four sixes in a row and the crowd went nuts.

It was great to relive those memories: Yuvraj Singh

After the match, Yuvraj said that it was indeed a great feeling to relive some memories, where he could hit sixes at will. He also stated that he also wanted to go for a fifth consecutive six as well. Yuvraj concluded by stating that the wicket was sticky, and the Indian Legends got enough runs on the board.

“It was great to relive those memories where I could hit sixes at will. After the fourth one I thought there’s a chance to hit the fifth if it is in my arc. The wicket was a bit sticky and two-paced but we got the runs on the board,” concluded Yuvraj in the post-match press conference.

The Indian Legends decimated the South African bowling attack. The ‘God of cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar started the carnage and smashed 60 off just 37 balls to set the tone, and the likes of Subramaniam Badrinath and Yuvraj Singh continued the carnage. While Badrinath scored 42 off 34 deliveries, Yuvraj went berserk, and scored a 22-ball 52, as the India Legends piled up 204 runs on the board.

In reply, the South African Legends could only manage to score 148/7 in their allotted 20 overs, as the Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian side thrashed them by 56 runs in the 13th match of the Road Safety World Series.
