PM Modi Birthday: On the occasion of his 75th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on September 17, 2025. In his speech, he not only emphasized the country's progress and self-reliance, but also called for the promotion of indigenous products, women's empowerment, and national pride.
The Land of Dhar: A Symbol of Valor and Inspiration
The Prime Minister began his address by highlighting the historical and cultural significance of Dhar. He said, "The land of Dhar is a land of valor. Nothing is greater than the honor and glory of Mother India. May every moment of our life be dedicated to the nation." He recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and said that today's India is moving forward with the resolve of a developed India, inspired by their sacrifices.
Modi said, "This is a new India. It is not afraid of nuclear threats. We attack from within. In Operation Sindoor, our soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees." This statement reflects the country's military strength and confidence.
PM Mitra Park: Global Recognition for Dhar
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the PM Mitra Park in Bhainsola village, Dhar, aimed at promoting the textile industry. He said, "Weaving materials like cotton and silk will be readily available here. Quality checks will be easier, and market access will increase. Spinning, processing, and export will take place from here. The name of my Dhar will shine in the global market."
Emphasizing the government's 5F vision (farm, fiber, factory, fashion, and foreign), he said that this project will create new employment opportunities and reduce manufacturing costs. Six such PM Mitra Parks are being established across the country.
A Call for Swadeshi: Say with pride, this is Swadeshi
Modi appealed to the public to promote indigenous products. He said, "GST rates are being reduced from September 22nd. Take advantage of this by purchasing indigenous products. Every shop should have a sign saying, 'Proudly say, this is Swadeshi.'" He led the public in a sloganeering campaign, stating that purchasing indigenous goods is essential for a self-reliant India and a developed India by 2047.
He emphasized, "Whatever you buy should be made in India. It should contain the sweat of a citizen of the country." He cited Mahatma Gandhi's Swadeshi movement, calling it the foundation of a developed India.
Women's Empowerment and Health
The Prime Minister declared women's empowerment and health as priorities for his government. He spoke about benefiting 45 million pregnant women under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and stated that more than ₹19,000 crore has been transferred directly to their accounts.
He launched the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Maha Abhiyan, under which lakhs of camps will be set up across the country for women's health checkups. He said, "If the mother is well, everything is well. Not a single woman should suffer from a serious illness due to lack of information or resources."
Modi appealed to women on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, saying, "As a son and a brother, I urge you to get tested at these camps."
Sickle Cell Anemia and Tribal Welfare
The Prime Minister highlighted the progress of the Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Mission for the tribal community. He reported that the 10 millionth sickle cell screening card has been distributed in Madhya Pradesh. This mission began in Shahdol in 2023 and is now proving to be a lifesaver for tribal brothers and sisters.
Hyderabad Liberation Day: Historical Pride
Speaking of celebrating September 17th as Hyderabad Liberation Day, Modi recalled the iron will of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said, "The Indian Army liberated Hyderabad and protected its rights. Our government has immortalized this day."
Poor Welfare and Lakhpati Didi
Modi emphasized his government's efforts for the welfare of the poor, saying, "Service to the poor never goes in vain. A little support to the poor can help them cross the ocean." He mentioned the achievement of making 20 million rural women millionaires under the Lakhpati Didi Abhiyan and said that the target of 30 million will be achieved soon.
Vishwakarma Jayanti and the Textile Industry
On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, the Prime Minister paid homage to Lord Vishwakarma, the god of skill and manufacturing. He said that projects like the PM Mitra Park will take the textile industry to new heights and provide employment to millions of farmers and workers.
