The Chief Minister has also announced significant concessions regarding electricity usage for agricultural purposes. 5 horsepower were already waived, the government has now extended concessions to pumps with higher capacities as well. On top of that, a strict directive has been issued to ensure that the electricity connections of agricultural pumps in the drought-declared villages aren't disconnected under any circumstances. In a move to support the younger generation, the government has announced a complete waiver of examination fees for school and college students residing in these drought-affected regions, ensuring that their education isn't hindered by the financial crisis at home.
Employment and Essential Supplies
To tackle the issue of unemployment and migration caused by the drought, the rules of the Employment Guarantee Scheme will be relaxed, while this relaxation is intended to initiate as many work projects as possible, providing local employment opportunities to the rural population. The government has also committed to providing food grains to both farmers and agricultural laborers who are dependent on farming for their livelihood. For the livestock, the administration will make necessary arrangements for fodder to ensure that cattle don't suffer due to the scarcity of resources.

Addressing the acute water shortage is a top priority for the Fadnavis government. Drinking water tankers will be deployed in all necessary locations to ensure a steady supply for the residents. Large-scale water conservation projects are set to be launched to improve the long-term water security of the state. The Chief Minister has instructed all District Collectors to immediately complete the panchnama proceedings to assess the extent of the damage.
