Union politics witnessed massive turmoil on Sunday when Union Minister Kiren Rijiju made severe and sensational allegations against the opposition, while kiren Rijiju openly stated that under the guise of protests against the Special Intensive Revision or SIR, a deeply dangerous conspiracy was orchestrated to instigate widespread violence within India. He claimed that malicious attempts were being made to trigger the exact kind of turmoil that was recently witnessed in neighboring Bangladesh and the European nation of France. Sharing a sharp post on the social media platform X, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju alleged that certain anti-India gangs and specific leaders operating within the country had colluded as part of a well-planned scheme. Their primary motive was to mislead and provoke impressionable youth and create an atmosphere of intense violence and absolute chaos on the streets of the nation.
The Plan to Spread Unrest Similar to Bangladesh and France
Elaborating further on his official social media handle, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju explained that the violent incidents in Bangladesh and the riots, arson, and looting witnessed on the streets of France weren't spontaneous occurrences. He stated in unequivocal terms that a precisely similar orchestrated conspiracy was hatched to disrupt the peace of India. Anti-India forces and certain political figures joined hands to poison the minds of the youth and engineered a sinister plot to unleash bloodshed and violent protests on the streets. Rijiju's statement comes at a time when massive protests are underway in the national capital of Delhi against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls. During these very protests, opposition leaders and various student activists spoke about changing the government, which has sparked a massive political controversy across the nation.
Regime Change in India Possible Only Through Elections, Not Soros
Issuing a stern warning to the opposition and anti-India elements, Kiren Rijiju further stated that those who hatched such dangerous and anti-national conspiracies must have forgotten that this country is neither Bangladesh nor France. He clarified in very strict terms that within a vast and strong democracy like India, governance or regime change is possible solely and exclusively through democratic elections, and not through any external forces or Soros. To substantiate his claims, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also shared a video clip. In this video, All India Students Association or AISA President Neha Bora and prominent senior advocate Prashant Bhushan are seen openly advocating for regime change. Following the emergence of this video, the political temperature has escalated Notably, triggering a war of words between the ruling establishment and the opposition.
Prashant Bhushan and Opposition's Sharp Reaction
On the other hand, responding to all these grave allegations made by Rijiju, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan completely rejected the government's claims. In his defense, Prashant Bhushan stated that the government keeps peddling this baseless narrative that the entire agitation is an opposition-led operation aimed at overthrowing the government. Explaining his stance, he said that all of them are merely making an earnest appeal to protect the electoral democracy and constitution of this country. Prashant Bhushan further added that if such brutality continues to prevail in the nation, a change of government is bound to happen in the future. He went on to ask rhetorically whether there is anything wrong if all of them want to change the government. Bhushan argued that changing the government is the fundamental democratic right of every citizen in this country, and generating resentment or dissatisfaction against the ruling administration is by no means a crime. Meanwhile, the political slugfest over the issue of regime change and this entire alleged conspiracy continues unabated across the country.
