Pandey accused of being implicated under the conspiracy

While talking to the media, Anandeshwar Pandey termed it as a conspiracy against himself and termed some IOA officials as the main accused behind this conspiracy. The secretary of the UP Olympic Association has also lodged a complaint with the Lucknow Police Commissioner regarding the allegation of maligning his image.

Pandey alleges that this is a conspiracy to tarnish his image and prevent him from participating in it before the Indian Olympic Association elections are to be held in September. It also includes some former and current office bearers of the union. Who is Anandeshwar Pandey after all?

He has also been a long-distance national athlete and has successfully organized national-international competitions of wrestling, hockey, football, athletics in association with state sports federations at the state level after saying goodbye to his sports career. In view of his contribution to sports, the UP government honored him with the Yash Bharti Award in 2016.
