Rajasthan: Massive Fire on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway: LPG Truck Explodes, Multiple Vehicles Affected, Driver-Helper Missing

A horrifying incident unfolded on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway on Wednesday night when a truck laden with LPG gas cylinders caught fire, leading to a series of violent explosions. The accident occurred around 10 PM in the Mojmabad area of Dudu, causing widespread panic and disruption.

Continuous Explosions and Extensive Damage

The inferno was so intense that cylinders began exploding one after another, sending loud blasts reverberating for miles and scattering cylinders into nearby fields. Witnesses reported hearing the explosions from as far as 10 kilometers away, with cylinders propelled up to 200 meters from the site. Initial reports suggest that more than 20 vehicles might have been caught in the blaze. Upon receiving the information, police officer Deepak Khandelwal immediately arrived at the scene and, as a precautionary measure, halted traffic on both sides of the highway to prevent further casualties and damage, while fire tenders are actively battling the blaze, but the continuous explosions are severely hindering their efforts. Mokampura police are also on-site, working to manage the situation and ensure public safety. Tragically, the driver and helper of the burning truck have been reported missing since the accident. There are grave fears that they may have been burned alive, though this has not yet been confirmed. Police are searching for them, and their fate will only be known once the fire is brought under control. This incident has caused a significant crisis on the busy highway, highlighting the dangers associated with transporting flammable materials.
