The Government of India has provided official information regarding this movement, while ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated during an inter-ministerial press conference on Monday that a total of 10 Indian-flagged ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz since the confrontation between the United States and Iran began.

Regarding the Indian ships positioned in the Strait of Hormuz, the government is prioritizing the movement of LPG tankers due to the severe shortage of cooking gas in the country. While several LPG tankers have already secured safe passage, the ongoing conflict in West Asia continues to impact the cooking gas supply in India.

NSA Ajit Doval's Official Visit to Saudi Arabia

In a significant diplomatic move, India's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval undertook an official visit to Saudi Arabia on April 19. During the visit, he held high-level meetings with top Saudi officials to discuss regional stability and bilateral cooperation.
