This move is part of the government's ongoing commitment to provide direct income support to small and marginal farmers, while the previous installment, which was the 22nd one, was released on March 13, 2026. Now, after a gap of nearly four months, the farmers are set to receive the next round of financial aid to support their livelihood and farming activities.

Annual Financial Support of 6,000 Rupees

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is designed to provide a total of 6,000 rupees per year to eligible farmer families. This amount is paid in three equal installments of 2,000 rupees each, distributed every four months. The primary objective of this scheme is to assist farmers in meeting their expenses related to agriculture and allied activities, such as purchasing seeds, fertilizers, irrigation, and other essential inputs. Since its launch in 2019, the scheme has emerged as one of the world's largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programs, providing a significant economic safety net for the rural population.

How to Complete the e-KYC Process

Farmers have two primary ways to complete their e-KYC. They can do it online through the official PM Kisan portal or visit a nearby Common Service Center (CSC).

  • Click on the e-KYC option available on the homepage.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number.
  • Input the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  • Once verified, the e-KYC process will be successfully completed.

If a farmer doesn't receive an OTP or faces technical issues, they can visit a CSC or Jan Seva Kendra for biometric-based e-KYC verification. On top of that, farmers can check their status on the website by clicking on 'Know Your Status' and entering their registration number and captcha to confirm if their e-KYC is already updated.
