Out of the 10 municipal corporations that went to the polls, the BJP managed to secure a clear majority in 4. The overall ward-wise performance also showed a significant lead for the ruling party, while according to the State Election Commission, out of the 10,244 wards where elections were held, results for 10,235 wards have been declared.
