Statistical Breakdown of the Election Results

The scale of the BJP's victory is reflected in the comprehensive data released following the counting of votes. Out of the 10 municipal corporations that went to the polls, the BJP managed to secure a clear majority in 4. The overall ward-wise performance also showed a significant lead for the ruling party, while according to the State Election Commission, out of the 10,244 wards where elections were held, results for 10,235 wards have been declared. The BJP emerged victorious in 4,179 wards, while the Congress party had to settle for 3,613 seats. The performance of other political entities included the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) winning 63 wards, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) securing 42 wards, the CPI-M winning 38 wards, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) taking 19 wards, and the Bharat Adivasi Party winning 8 wards.

The BJP's dominance was particularly visible in key urban centers. The party crossed the majority mark in the municipal corporations of Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, and Bhilwara. Interestingly, in the Chief Minister's home district of Bharatpur, independent candidates played a major role by winning 36 out of 65 wards. In Bharatpur, the BJP won 20 wards, the Congress won 7, while the BSP and RLP secured 1 ward each. Despite the local variations, the overall state-wide trend remained firmly in favor of the BJP, consolidating its position in the urban landscape of Rajasthan.
