Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's third semiconductor plant in Sanand, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in India's journey toward becoming a global tech hub. During the inauguration ceremony on Saturday, the Prime Minister won the hearts of the audience by using a popular meme dialogue from the web series Panchayat. The phrase Sun rahe ho na Vinod was used by the PM to emphasize the progress of the project, leading to loud cheers and laughter throughout the hall.

The Viral Dialogue and Interaction

The mention of the popular meme occurred during a light-hearted interaction with Vellayan Subbiah, the Chairman of CG Power and Industrial Solutions. PM Modi used the dialogue to respond to Subbiah's remarks about the project's success, while the video of this moment quickly went viral on social media platforms. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also shared the video on his social media account with the caption Sun rahe ho na Vinod, further amplifying the reach of the Prime Minister's witty remark.

Gujarati Proverbs and High Ambitions

During his address, PM Modi also incorporated several Gujarati proverbs to convey his vision for development, while he quoted the phrase Nishan chuk maaf, pan nahi maaf nichu nishan, which translates to missing the mark is excusable, but setting a low target isn't. Responding to Subbiah's mention of the phrase Kaam bole che (Work speaks), the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to large-scale projects. He pointed out that he never sets small goals, citing the example of the Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue, as a testament to his vision for Sardar Patel's legacy.

Production Targets and Global Supply Chain

The Prime Minister launched commercial production at the semiconductor facility and expressed confidence that the plant would soon meet its production targets. He was informed that the facility would initially produce 20 crore chips annually. PM Modi expressed his belief that the company would achieve this goal quickly, noting that the Semicon India Programme is progressing rapidly. He described the progress as being made step by step, brick by brick, and now chip by chip. The ultimate goal set for the facility is to produce 50 crore chips per year, and the PM congratulated the entire CG Semi team for their efforts.

India's Leap in Electronics Manufacturing

Highlighting India's progress since 2014, PM Modi stated that the country has made massive strides in the electronics sector. He noted that India is now the world's second-largest mobile manufacturer and the second-largest mobile exporter. Since 2014, India's total electronic production has increased by approximately 7 times, while electronics exports have grown by nearly 11 times. He emphasized that the semiconductor industry is the foundation of future technology for India and that the government is promoting chip manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative to reduce global dependence.

First Batch Exported to Japan

In a proud moment for the nation, the first batch of semiconductor chips produced at this CG facility has already been sent to Japan. Company officials stated that the inclusion of Made in India chips in the global supply chain is a matter of great pride, while pM Modi remarked that Gujarat is on its way to becoming a semiconductor hub, and the Sanand plant will provide employment to thousands of youth while strengthening the state's economy. He concluded by reiterating that the government's goal isn't just to make promises but to deliver results on the ground, ending his speech once again with the punchline Kaam bole che.
