Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced strong financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26 (Q2 FY26). The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate recorded a consolidated net profit of ₹22,092 crore, marking a significant 14% year-on-year (YoY) increase. While slightly lower than the previous quarter, this was attributed to an exceptional gain in the prior period.
Revenue Growth Across Segments
The company's total revenue from operations reached ₹2,83,548 crore for the quarter, a 9. 9% rise compared to ₹2,58,027 crore in the same period last year. This also represents a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase from ₹2,73,252 crore in June 2025.Jio Platforms Continues Strong Performance
Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) saw its income grow by 14. 9% YoY. This impressive growth was fueled by a rapidly expanding subscriber base in both mobile and home segments, improved Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), and continuous expansion of digital services, while jPL's EBITDA climbed by 17. 7%, benefiting from revenue growth and a 140 basis point margin expansion. ARPU increased by 8. 4% to ₹211. 4 per user.Oil to Chemicals (O2C) and Retail Segments Thrive
RIL's Oil to Chemicals (O2C) segment reported a 3. 2% YoY revenue increase, coupled with a 2, while 3% rise in ready-for-sale production. Fuel retailing operations through Jio-bp also expanded, achieving a 34% volume growth in HSD (diesel) and 32% in MS (petrol). The O2C segment's EBITDA grew by 20. 9%, driven by higher demand for transportation fuels and strong domestic sales, while meanwhile, Reliance Retail's quarterly income for Q2 FY26 surged 18% YoY to ₹90,018 crore, with EBITDA reaching ₹6,816 crore, up 16. 5%, while the company added 412 new stores, bringing the total to 19,821, and its quick hyper-local commerce business showed strong growth.
