The procurement process has started for the scheme to provide smart phones with free internet to 1.33 crore women in Rajasthan. A pre-bid meeting was held today for the Rs 7500 crore tender issued by the government to buy 1.33 crore smartphones. Discussions took place between representatives of mobile companies and officials of government agency Rajcomp, willing to participate in the tender, to supply 1.33 crore smartphones with free data for three years.
The picture has become clear on the mobile companies participating in the tender for supplying smartphones from the pre-bid meeting today. The technical bid for tender for smartphone supply will open on July 1. In this, the company which is found technically qualified, its name will be decided. There is likely to be a competition between only three mobile companies for this tender. These include Jio, Airtel, Vodafone.
Only mobile service provider companies will be able to participate in the bid, handset companies out

Therefore, only mobile service provider companies will be able to participate in the bid. Only handset makers will not be able to participate in the tender. Three conditions have been laid for the companies involved in the scheme of giving free smartphones with free internet to women for three years. The company involved in the tender should have license to provide mobile service of Rajasthan circle. The company should have mobile tower, local support office up to block and district level. Due to these conditions of the tender, only one of the mobile companies already working in Rajasthan will get the tender for the supply of smartphones.
Gehlot had announced in the budget, women heads with Janadhar card will get smartphones
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced in the budget this year that 1.33 crore women of the state would be given free smartphones with free data for three years. The smartphone will be available to the female head of the household. It is necessary to have a Janadhar card for a free smartphone. The government already has complete records of women heads who have to give smartphones. A SIM will be given with the smartphone. The smartphone will have dual SIM slots.
