The probe revealed that the criminals used a fake number plate on the bike involved in the crime. This specific number was stolen from the registration details of Vibhash Bhattacharya's motorcycle. On Friday night, the Bengal Police reached Dhanbad and questioned Bhattacharya for several hours at the Pathardih police station. The team also verified the motorcycle at his residence, while the employee clarified that he was at his office during the time of the incident, a claim substantiated by office CCTV footage. The investigation concluded that the killers had merely used his registration number on a completely different motorcycle model.
