The legal proceedings surrounding the tragic death of actress Twisha Sharma have taken a significant turn as the Madhya Pradesh High Court has intervened. In a recent development, the court has granted permission for a second post-mortem of the actress, which will be conducted by a specialized medical team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. This decision comes after the family members of Twisha Sharma filed a petition seeking a more detailed investigation into the circumstances of her demise. The AIIMS team is scheduled to travel to Bhopal to perform the autopsy, ensuring a high level of forensic scrutiny in the case.

Legal Stance of the In-laws and Husband's Surrender

Amidst the ongoing investigation, the legal representatives of Twisha Sharma's in-laws have voiced their concerns regarding the delay in the final rites. The lawyer representing the in-laws stated that Twisha was a beloved daughter-in-law of their family and emphasized that they can't allow her body to remain in its current state for an extended period, while the lawyer asserted that it's their moral and familial duty to perform her last rites with dignity. Plus, a major breakthrough in the case was reported in the High Court when the husband's lawyer informed the bench that the accused husband is now ready to surrender before the authorities, while the husband had been absconding since the night of 12 May, immediately following Twisha's death.

The Viral Audio Controversy

A significant piece of evidence that has surfaced recently is a viral audio recording featuring a conversation between Twisha's mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, and Twisha's brother, Major Harshit Sharma. Addressing the authenticity of this recording, Major Harshit Sharma confirmed that the audio is genuine and contains nothing but the truth. He clarified that the conversation took place in a room where several family members were present, including Giribala Singh's maternal aunt, her elder brother, Harshit's own elder brother, and his mother. Major Harshit's Account of the Confrontation

Major Harshit Sharma shared his perspective on the interaction, noting that many distressing things were said during the conversation which were difficult for him to process at the time, while he mentioned that he attempted to challenge the statements being made, but encountered resistance due to Giribala Singh's professional background as a judge. Harshit observed that she appeared unaccustomed to being questioned or challenged in any manner. He recounted how she reacted sharply to his inquiries, asking how a young man could speak to her in such a way and whether he was attempting to cross-question her, while harshit maintained that he was simply speaking as a concerned brother to his sister's mother-in-law and was seeking her opinion on the matters at hand. He expressed surprise at her rigid stance and her refusal to acknowledge any wrongdoing in her statements.
