The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is moving towards forming a government with a full majority in the West Bengal Assembly elections, securing a significant lead over the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). This marks the first time in the history of West Bengal that a BJP government will be formed in the state. Simultaneously, it signals the end of Mamata Banerjee's government, which has been in power for 15 years. The BJP's victory in the Bengal elections is being attributed to PM Modi's guarantees and Amit Shah's strategic planning, while during the campaign, PM Modi held several public meetings and called for 'Parivartan' (change) in the state, promising to implement central schemes in Bengal.

Amit Shah's Strategy and Ground Management

Union Home Minister Amit Shah stayed in Bengal for about 15 days, conducting rallies across various regions. He formulated a distinct strategy for every assembly seat, which is now reflected in the election results. The expansion of the BJP isn't a coincidence but the result of a national plan combined with local action. The precise execution of Delhi's strategy on the ground became the game-changer in West Bengal. The party established a strong hold on 71,000 out of 82,000 booths, shifting the election dynamics from the grassroots level.

10 Strategic Pillars of BJP's Rise in Bengal

Ten major points of Amit Shah's strategy were instrumental in BJP's success. This included micro-management through a committee model, strengthening the organization at every booth except in Muslim-majority areas. The core strength was rebooted by re-activating workers who were victims of violence. Under Amit Shah's supervision, central leaders were given seat-wise responsibilities with a mandate for real-time reporting.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) acted as a silent support system, reaching households through drawing-room meetings in a low-key, high-impact campaign. This time, the party relied on its cadre rather than Tollywood faces or tainted leaders. Social engineering was employed to reach out to the Purvanchali and Marwari communities, as well as local football clubs. Finally, a strong ideological framework was created by linking issues like Jai Shri Ram, infiltration, and women's safety.
