Meerut: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy allegedly battered his 16-year-old sister to death during a fight, and his elder brother helped him secretly bury the body. The incident took place within Khurja Dehat police station limits in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh.  

According to the police, on Wednesday last week, an argument flared up between the minor accused and his 16-year-old sister over some issue. In a fit of rage, the youth assaulted his sister with a stick, killing her Later, the youth, with the help of his 35-year-old brother, identified as Pappu, secretly buried the girl’s body in a field near their house, The Times of India reported.

Villager alert police 

When villagers didn’t see the girl for several days, they grew suspicious and alerted the local police. Subsequent police inquiries led to the arrest of Pappu on Sunday. During interrogation, Pappu told the police: “They fought over some issue. My brother hit her with a stick and she died. Later, I helped him in burying the body in the field.”

The police, on the basis of a complaint filed by the village guard, have registered a case under relevant provisions. The minor accused is still on the run, Bulandshahr SSP Santosh Kumar said, adding that raids are being conducted to nab him.

Another incident

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy allegedly killed his 15-year-old sister in Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh, and later turned himself in to the local police.

Police said the victim was in a relationship with a local boy whom her brother did not like. Her brother often asked her to end her relationship with the boy, but she refused to listen to him. An argument broke out between the brother-sister duo over the issue. After the argument, the teenage boy killed his sister by attacking her with an axe. Later, he informed the police that he has murdered his sister.
