UP News: Mild tremors of earthquake were felt in many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, at 7.30 pm, a 5-storey Alaya apartment located on Wazir Hasan Road, Hazratganj, Lucknow collapsed. On information, a heavy police force has reached the spot along with the rescue team.

More than 24 people are reported to be trapped in the debris. About 20 flats are being told in the five-storey apartment. At the same time, eyewitnesses say that about 50 to 60 people are feared trapped in the debris. They also say that we were drinking tea, when suddenly there was a loud sound and a balloon of smoke rose. As soon as I saw it, there was darkness in front of my eyes.

UP Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak told that the rescue operation is going on. NDRF-SDRF has reached the spot. Police personnel and fire brigade personnel are also on the spot. So far three bodies have been found. When Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar was asked whether the accident happened during the day due to the earthquake, he said, nothing can be said now.

CM Yogi alerted the hospitals

As soon as the information about the incident was received, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the collapse of the old building. The CM has directed the officials of the district administration to immediately take the injured to the hospital for their proper treatment. Also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, along with the District Magistrate and senior police officers, SDRF, NDRF teams have been instructed to go on the spot and get relief work done. Along with this, many hospitals were instructed to remain alert.

Earthquake tremors in many cities including Lucknow

According to the report of the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of this earthquake which occurred at 2.28 pm was 5.8 and its epicenter was 10 kilometers below the ground level in Nepal. According to the report, apart from the capital Lucknow, earthquake tremors were also felt in Bareilly, Agra, Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut.
