Rajasthan Election: This time Congress is trying to change the tradition of change of power in Rajasthan politics. CM Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot have forgotten all their mutual grievances and united. Gehlot's dominance is visible in the list of Congress candidates released so far, while Pilot has also been successful in getting tickets to MLAs close to him, but many supporters of both the leaders have also been disappointed.

Many leaders close to Sachin Pilot are now leaving Congress and joining BJP. The most prominent among these is former Jaipur Mayor Jyoti Khandelwal, who joined BJP on Saturday. Not only Khandelwal, there is also a name in this list, who had once written a letter to the Congress high command in support of Pilot, but now he could not get the ticket so he entered BJP. This leader is Pandit Suresh Mishra, who joined BJP only last week. This is being considered a big blow for both Congress and Sachin Pilot.

Suresh Mishra had openly stood with the pilot

Pandit Suresh Mishra was counted among the leaders close to Sachin Pilot. Suresh Mishra is the national president of Brahmin Mahasabha. During the tug of war between Gehlot and Pilot for the last five years, Suresh Mishra openly stood in support of Pilot. On 25 September 2022, when a delegation was sent to Jaipur by the central leadership. Then the MLAs of Gehlot group had tried to resign instead of participating in the legislature party meeting. This was apparently done to prevent Pilot from becoming the CM in place of Gehlot.

After this incident, Pandit Suresh Mishra had written a letter in blood to Mallikarjun Kharge, condemning the incident of 25 September 2022 and demanding immediate action on the conflict in the party. Not only this, he has publicly demanded making Pilot the Chief Minister of Rajasthan several times. He was considered among the leaders close to Pilot. Pandit Suresh Mishra was preparing to contest from Congress from Sanganer assembly seat, but the party made Pushpendra Bhardwaj its candidate in his place.

Engaged in calling Congress anti-Hindu

After not getting ticket from Congress, Suresh Mishra resigned from the party and joined BJP and now he is in an aggressive mood. He said that no one is questioning Sachin Pilot in Congress. Congress has ended the political career of a young leader and Pilot does not even have any rights. In such a situation, I was left with no option. He also said that Sachin Pilot's supporters like him have been sidelined. Not only this, now Suresh Mishra is busy calling Congress anti-Hindu.

Not only Suresh Mishra's name but also Jyoti Khandelwal's name is included among Pilot supporters who left Congress and joined BJP. When Congress did not give him the ticket, he said goodbye to the party and joined BJP. Khandelwal was fielded by Congress from Jaipur seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but she lost to BJP's Ram Charan Bohra. Then she was preparing to contest the assembly elections in 2023 and for this she was demanding a ticket from Hawa Mahal or Kishanpole assembly seat of Jaipur, but when Congress did not make her a candidate, she entered BJP.

Another close Jyoti also left us

Jyoti Khandelwal is also counted among the leaders close to former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. In April this year, Pilot had fasted for a day on the issue of corruption and Jyoti Khandelwal had also sat on a dharna with him. In this way, she was seen standing with Pilot at every step and was also openly advocating to make him the Chief Minister. But, when Congress did not give him ticket in the assembly elections, he did not delay in leaving the party.

95 candidates have been announced in the three lists released by Congress so far, but till now most of the tickets have been received as per the intention of CM Ashok Gehlot. Among the 19 candidates in the third list of Congress, three MLAs supporting Sachin Pilot have also got tickets again. These include the names of sitting MLA Harishchandra Meena from Deoli Uniara, Gajraj Khatana from Bandikui and Rakesh Pareek from Masuda Assembly.

Sachin Pilot has been successful in getting tickets to many of his supporters in the list of candidates released by Congress. Leaving aside Ved Prakash Solanki, till now the party has again given tickets to Mukesh Bhakar, Murari Lal Meena, Ramnivas Gavadiya and Indraraj Gurjar. These MLAs had supported Sachin Pilot while going to Manesar hotel. Gehlot and Pilot have tried their best to get maximum number of tickets for their respective supporters. In such a situation, those supporters of Pilot who are not getting tickets are not delaying in saying goodbye to the party?
