Cricket Desk: The second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is lighting up the UAE over the last couple of days after a slow start. With the playoffs race heating up, the matches are going down the wire with each of them being crucial for the teams now. RCB and MI faced off on Sunday evening in one such important encounter and with superstars playing from both the sides, it was expected to be a fiery encounter.

Some of the players from both teams have their families with them in the UAE and any cricketer loves to perform in front of their loved ones. AB de Villiers also has his wife Danielle and kids present and more often than not, the man lights up the venue with his 360 Degree batting.

The stage was set on the day against MI for him to come and explode. De Villiers started the same way too smashing Jasprit Bumrah for a six and a four in the 17th over. However, the bowler came back well in the penultimate over of the innings to send back the former South African cricketer. De Villiers’ one of the sons was in the stands with Danielle to cheer for his father but was disappointed after he got out.

Even his wife was shocked after Bumrah got the better of De Villiers. But the batsman’s son was extremely disappointed that he smashed his hand on the chair in the row ahead of him and ended up hurting himself. The video of the same has gone viral on social media.

Not a great second leg for AB de Villiers so far

AB de Villiers is yet to play a significant knock in the second leg of the IPL. His three scores so far are 0, 12 and 11. One can argue that he has come out to bat a bit too late and in a bid to up the ante in the death overs, he is getting out. But it seemed as if he was in the mood on the day. But Bumrah’s brilliance cut short his stay in the middle and could only score 11 runs.
