Fire in Danapur-Secunderabad Express / Accident happened due to short circuit, no casualty reported

A fire broke out in the general compartment of the Danapur-Secunderabad Express train near Betul railway station this morning. A railway official informed about the fire. There is no report of any passenger being injured in the accident.

According to the information, Betul Railway Station Master Anil Pawar said that some passengers noticed the fire and immediately informed the police, after which the fire department was informed. Fire brigade immediately reached the spot and doused the fire.

The incident is said to have happened around 8 am. Short circuit in the coach and spark in the wires caused fire and spread of smoke while passing through Sadar bridge. The passengers immediately pulled the chain and stopped the train and informed the police personnel. Along with this, the passengers tried to control the fire by using the firefighters present in the coach, showing understanding. After stopping for about 30 minutes, the train was sent for onward journey.
