Jammu And Kashmir: A 'hybrid' terrorist of Al Badr organization planning terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir was arrested on Saturday. Police gave this information. According to the police, arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the arrested terrorist. 'Hybrid' terrorists are those who return to their regular lives after carrying out attacks.

Based on specific intelligence, a Srinagar police team arrested a terrorist belonging to banned outfit Al-Badr from Batmaloo area of the city, a police spokesman said. According to the spokesman, the terrorist has been identified as Arafat Yusuf and is a resident of Rajpora, Pulwama.

A pistol, 20 live cartridges and two magazines recovered

A pistol, 20 live cartridges and two magazines have been recovered from him. According to a police spokesperson, preliminary investigation has revealed that Yusuf was involved in terrorist activities in South Kashmir and had come to Srinagar with nefarious designs, before he could execute any terrorist attack, he was arrested. Yusuf was involved in the incident of throwing grenades twice at the security forces.

The first incident involved hurling a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle at Rajpora and then at a CRPF/Rashtriya Rifles camp at Hawal in Rajpora, Pulwama. The spokesman said Yusuf was also involved in pasting the posters of Lone Wolf Warrior on March 26 and March 10 this year. Several terror cases are already registered against him. The police have registered a case in this regard.
