During the marriage ceremony in Naurangiya village of Nebua Naurangiya police station area of ​​Kushinagar district, 13 people died in an accident late on Wednesday night. After the accident, people called the ambulance but the ambulance did not come quickly. It took more than two hours for the ambulance to reach the spot. During this 13 people died. Angered by this, the villagers blocked the National Highway 28B on Thursday morning and blocked it. Villagers and families are demanding compensation for not coming on time and accusing the doctors of negligence.

According to the information, before the marriage of Amit Kushwaha, son of Parmeshwar Kushwaha, a resident of School Tola in Naurangiya village, the ritual of turmeric was being performed late on Wednesday night. The program of Matkod (pre-marriage ceremony) was going on in front of the well located about 100 meters away from the house.

The well near which the program was going on was closed by making RCC slab. During the ritual, a large number of women, girls and girls stood on the slab made on the well. The slab suddenly broke and the women, girls and girls standing on it got trapped in the well. The well is very deep. It was full of water. There was outcry after this incident.

Neighbors started rescue, as well as phone calls were made to call an ambulance but it took more than two hours for them to arrive. At the same time, due to darkness, the local people also could not get much success. Meanwhile, someone informed the police about the incident. The policemen who came with the team and force intensified the relief work.

All those who were pulled out of the well were taken to the district hospital. Doctors conducted tests and declared 13 people brought dead. All the dead bodies are kept near the mortuary of the district hospital. Seeing this, everyone started crying. It is being told that this well was filled by making slabs about 10 years ago due to the fear of accident. Now the slabs broke due to overcrowding, causing this heart-wrenching accident.
