India / Another Vande Bharat cattle collision incident on Mumbai-Gandhinagar route

Vande Bharat Express has met with an accident for the third time in a few weeks. According to the information, the front part of the high speed train was broken due to the collision of a bull. According to officials, the train was going from Mumbai-Central to Gandhinagar in Gujarat on Saturday. The video of the incident has also surfaced. In which the front part of the train is damaged. It is expected to be fine by evening.

Vande Bharat train collided with a cattle in Mumbai Central Division. The bull died in this incident. Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway said in a statement, the train was on its way from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar. All passengers are safe. The incident is being reported at around 8:17 am. The train was halted for about 15 minutes after the incident. There is no damage to the train, except the front coach i.e. the part of the nose cone cover of the driver coach is broken. The train is running smoothly. It will be fixed as soon as possible.

Officials said that the Western Railway has directed to repair the broken part of the engine at Mumbai Central station, which will be done by evening. When will the train return to Mumbai.

Two similar incidents took place in the first week of October. Earlier also in both the cases the incident of Vande Bharat Express colliding with cattle had come to light. Officials of the Western Railway said that after Dahanu Road station, cattle enter the track due to absence of barricades on the railway track. An awareness campaign is being run by Western Railway to keep animals in the villages near the railway track. Western Railway officials said that they are taking all steps to prevent such incidents in future.

PM to flag off fifth train in November

It may be noted that Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi is set to flag off the fifth Vande Bharat train in November, which will connect the Chennai-Mysuru-Bengaluru route.
