Delhi News: On the issue of banning the entry of women in Jama Masjid, the Delhi Women's Commission has decided to issue a notice to the Imam of the mosque. Delhi Women's Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwala herself has given information about this by tweeting. Swati Maliwal said, 'The decision to stop the entry of women in Jama Masjid is absolutely wrong. As much as a man has the right to worship, so also a woman. I am issuing notice to the Imam of Jama Masjid. No one has the right to ban the entry of women like this.

Let us tell you that a notice board has been put on all the three entry gates of Jama Masjid, in which it is written, 'Alone entry of girl or girls in Jama Masjid is prohibited.'

What has Shahi Imam to say?

According to media reports, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, says that such complaints were being received that girls come to the mosque with their boyfriends. For this reason, a ban has been imposed on such girls coming alone.

The Shahi Imam said that if a woman wanted to come to Jama Masjid, she would have to come with her family or husband. He made it clear that the woman coming to offer Namaz will not be stopped.
