This amount is Rs 50 lakh more than the deal of previous sponsor Dream 11, which was paying Rs 4 crore per match. Apollo won in tough competition

According to a report by Times of India, apart from Apollo Tires, companies like Canva and JK Tires were also in the race for Team India's jersey sponsorship. Apart from this, Birla Optus Paints also showed interest in this deal, but they did not come forward to bid. Apollo Tires won this sponsorship on the basis of its aggressive strategy and strong bid.

The bid was placed on 16 September

The bid for Team India's jersey sponsorship was placed on 16 September 2025. BCCI had sought applications for this bid on 2 September and made it clear in its press release that companies related to gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco would not be eligible for this sponsorship. Apart from this, companies related to banking, financial services, and sportswear were also excluded from the bid. This strict policy ensured that only reliable and suitable brands would claim for this prestigious sponsorship.

When will the Apollo Tires logo be seen?

Currently, the Indian cricket team is participating in the Asia Cup 2025, which is being held in two cities of the UAE—Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In this tournament, the Indian team is playing without any jersey sponsor.
