The state government is soon going to take action for the appointment of ministers in-charge and nodal officers in the districts to speed up government work in the field. Discussion has started on the proposal related to this.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the nodal officers to visit the districts every month along with the ministers in charge, but the in-charge ministers and nodal officers have not been re-appointed. A large number of new ministers have got a place in the Yogi-2.0 cabinet instead of the old one.

Chief Minister may appoint in-charge ministers soon

In such a situation, fresh ministers in charge have to be appointed in each district. There are 52 ministers in the cabinet excluding the chief minister, but the number of districts is 75. In such a situation, many ministers are sure to get the charge of more than one district. It is being told that the Chief Minister can soon appoint in-charge ministers.

The planning department of the government is taking action in this regard. Similarly, senior officers of the government were appointed as nodal officers in the districts under Yogi-1.0 regime. Many of these have retired or have been transferred.

Nodal officers will be appointed afresh

Now nodal officers are to be appointed afresh in all the districts. The Program Implementation Department of the Government is taking action regarding the appointment of nodal officers expeditiously. A senior government official said that after the appointment of in-charge ministers and nodal officers in the districts, monitoring of field work would start from the government level. This will also ensure effective implementation of the directions of the Chief Minister in the field.
