Ladakh News: Indian Army vehicle met with an accident in the Union Territory of Ladakh on Saturday evening. An army vehicle fell into a ditch in Kyari village near the capital Leh. Officials told that nine army soldiers have died in this accident. The army has confirmed in a conversation with Zoom News that nine soldiers were killed in the accident in Leh, while one soldier was injured. The dead soldiers include eight soldiers and one JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer).

Talking to the news agency, the officials told that seven km before Kyari village, the army vehicle met with an accident and fell into the ditch. Eight jawans and one JCO have died in this accident. A jawan has also been injured in the accident, who has been transferred for treatment. This army patrol was going from Karu towards Kyari, when it met with an accident. Officials have told that at present the rescue operation is going on at the spot.

It is being told in the media reports that three vehicles were included in the Indian Army squad. Out of this, the army truck has been the victim of an accident. This squad included three officers, two JCOs and 34 jawans. There was a gypsy, a truck and an ambulance in this squad of three vehicles. The area of Ladakh where this accident happened is a remote area.

This village is adjacent to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on the India-China border. There are many trenches in this area. Due to being close to LAC, the security system here remains very tight. Many major regiments of the army are also present here. Keeping in mind the ongoing tension with China, the number of soldiers has also been increased here.
