UP News: Samajwadi Party leader and former MP Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam were shifted from Rampur jail in separate convoys at 5 am today. When Azam Khan was being brought out of Rampur jail, he said that we may have an encounter. Anything can happen. It has been reported quoting sources that Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam can be kept in different jails. Azam Khan can be shifted to Sitapur jail and Abdullah Azam can go to Hardoi jail. Azam's wife Tanzin Fatima will remain in Rampur jail. Although the information is not officially confirmed.

Abdullah and Azam Khan went in separate vehicles

From Rampur jail, UP police took Abdullah Azam in a Verger vehicle and took Azam Khan in a Bolero vehicle. During this time, Azam Khan had refused to sit in the middle seat of the car and cited back pain. Sources said that while shifting to jail, Azam Khan also asked for two bedsheets from his elder son. Additional Superintendent of Police Sansar Singh said that on the orders of the government, both of them have been shifted to another jail. Where it was sent is confidential. There is an alert on the way also.

7 Years imprisonment in fake birth certificate case

It is noteworthy that a Rampur court on Wednesday convicted Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan, his wife Tanzin Fatima and son Abdullah Azam in a five-year-old case of fake birth certificate and sentenced them to seven years' imprisonment. The court of MP-MLA Magistrate Shobhit Bansal convicted Azam Khan, Tanzin Fatima and Abdullah Azam in the 2019 case of fake birth certificates and sentenced them to maximum seven years' imprisonment. Saxena said, "All three have been taken into judicial custody and will be sent to jail from the court itself."
