The Madianv police of Lucknow arrested Banke Bihari, assistant manager of the Bank of Baroda Patrakar Puram branch, on Tuesday night on the charge of black marketing Remdesivir injection.

The police team has recovered 12 vials of Remedisvir from Banke Bihari. Inspector Madianv Manoj Singh said that the accused is a resident of Vikasnagar. He used to contact people by forming a group on social media. When the phone of the needy was called, he used to call them at the fixed place and used to give the delivery of Remdesivir for 15 to 20 thousand rupees.

Inspector Madianv told that Manoj Kumar, mother of Khamaria Isanagar of Lakhimpur Kheri, is admitted in Hind Medical College. The doctors suggested the need for remedies. Manoj came to know about Banke Bihari through someone. Manoj approached her. Banke Bihari took 45 thousand rupees from him at the rate of 15 thousand rupees per injection.

Inspector caught Banke Bihari red-handed while black-marketing

According to Manoj, when his demand was injected with Banke Bihari, he got a reaction. The doctors suspected the injection to be fake. Manoj informed Daroga Zafar Mehndi about this. Daroga asked Manoj to demand another Remedesivir injection from Banke Bihari. When Manoj called, Banke Bihari called him near the Engineering College intersection to deliver. The Daroga laid siege with the police team and arrested Banke Bihari. Other people associated with the gang are being searched.
