In such a situation, we are trying to have the opening match of the World Cup in Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Dharamshala Stadium. Let us know that Dharamshala is included in 8 Venues of these matches. However, the schedule of these matches is yet to come.

Actually, Arun Dhumal has said that with the international cricket match being organized at Dharamshala Stadium, the tourism city Dharamshala will once again be recognized globally. Local traders are also expected to make a big profit from it. The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium has been undergoing a drought of international matches for a long time. Although, Dharamshala attracts a large number of tourists, tourism will be further boosted by organizing matches.

Two international matches canceled from 2016 to 2020

The India-Pakistan T20 World Cup in Dharamshala in 2016 was canceled due to political reasons. After this, Dharamshala Stadium got a chance to host. In 2019 and 2020 also, two matches between India and South Africa were canceled due to rain.

The first international match was held in the year 2013

The first international ODI was played between India and England on 27 January 2013 at Dharamshala Stadium. After that the T20 World Cup match was played between India-South Africa on 20 October 2015 and New Zealand-Australia on 18 March 2016.
