Mumbai. The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) has removed the lifelong restriction of Cricketer Ankit Chavan (Ankeet Chavan). After the Spot Fixing scandal (spot fixing) in the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL), 35-year-old player was suspended from playing all types of cricket. Sreesanth and Ajit Chandila were also given the same punishment. These three players were part of the 2008 Champion Rajasthan Royals (Rajasthan Royals). On Tuesday, on June 15, BCCI's Caretaker Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hemang Amin informed Mumbai's spinner that according to the instructions and court of BCCI, his life ban has been reduced to seven years. This means that their sentence is over in September last.

After knowing this news, there was no place for Ankit Chavan's happiness and he was happy with the possibility of becoming a part of cricket again. For this, he also expressed gratitude to BCCI and Mumbai cricket. On receiving the approval of playing with the BCCI, Mumbai's former left-hand spinner Ankit Chavan said that despite the Corona epidemic and monsoon, he is desperate to land on the field.

Ankit said, "This ban was over only on September 2020. Now I am ready to play anything. I am waiting to land on the field. "He said," The field will be closed due to corona epidemic and monsoon, but whenever I get a chance to get on the field, I am waiting. "

Let us tell that last year, BCCI Lokpal Justice (retired) DK Jain made a lifelong ban on Sreesanth and made seven years. After the ban was over, Sreesanth returned to Kerala in the domestic format. He also registered himself for the IPL auction of 2021, but he did not get any buyer.

Since then, Chavan was doing his best to reduce his ban. The player said that the BCCI and MCA should follow the same rules, as they did in the case of Sreesanth. According to the reports, he wrote MCA, who decided not to interfere in this matter.

Ankit Chavan has played 18 first class, 20 list A and 26 T20 matches in his career, in which he has taken 53, 18 and 19 wickets respectively. At home, his name is two half-centuries and a century. Chavan has taken eight wickets in 13 matches in the IPL.
