Following this tweet, former stars like former head coach Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh came out in support of Saha, asking him to reveal the name of the journalist.

BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal told PTI on Monday, "Yes, we will ask Wriddhiman about his tweet and find out what exactly happened. We need to know if he was threatened and what was the background and context of his tweet. nothing else I can say. Our secretary (Jay Shah) will definitely talk to Wriddhiman.

Saha did not get a chance to play for the Indian team recently. He told the media that after the South Africa series last month, Dravid had advised him to consider retiring in mutual talks.

Dravid said the intention behind speaking to Saha was to ensure that he had a clear idea of his position in the team and that he did not regret it.
