BCCI's big action on Sanju Samson

In the match played against Delhi Capitals, Sanju Samson was out after scoring 86 runs on 46 balls. Sanju Samson hit 8 fours and 6 sixes in this innings. But he was caught out in the 16th over. He hit a big stroke on the ball of Mukesh Kumar, which was caught by Shai Hope standing on the boundary line. The third umpire declared him out. But he was seen arguing with the umpires after being out. In such a situation, now BCCI has fined 30% of the match fee on Sanju Samson for showing disagreement with the umpire's decision.

BCCI issued press release

BCCI has issued a press release imposing fine on Sanju Samson. Press Release BCCI has said that Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during Match 56 of IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Samson has committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He admitted the offense and accepted the sanction of the match referee. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.

Virat Kohli also got punishment

Earlier, Virat Kohli has also been fined for arguing with the umpires. Virat Kohli was seen arguing with the umpires during the match played between the teams of Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was out on a full toss ball. He believed that this ball was above the waist. But the umpires declared him out. After which he argued with the umpires before returning to the pavilion. Due to which BCCI had imposed a fine of 50% of the match fee on Virat Kohli.
